The German government has agreed to grant Israel 140 million marks (the equivalent of more than $38 million) in economic aid for 1970. The money will be used for new housing projects, telephone networks, development of Lod Airport and for loans to be issued by the Industrial Development Bank. This is the sixth consecutive year that Israel has received such an amount from Germany.
