German Government Gets Trotsky’s Application

The German Foreign Office, it was announced, received today, through its Consulate General in Constantinople, the application of Leon Trotsky, exiled Communist leader, for permission to enter and sojourn in Germany.

Foreign Minister Stresemann referred the application to the Chancellor. The matter is now being discussed by the Federal Government whose decision is expected in a few days.

Reports in some newspapers here state that Stalin has requested the German government to refuse Trotsky permission to enter Germany.

Rabbi Ben Gordon of Lynn. Mass., died while performing a wedding ceremony at the Hotel Eldridge, Nabant. He was 55 years old.
