German Jewish organizations quit the United German Societies, announcing that their secession was a result of the organization’s failure to adopt a resolution condemning anti-Semitism at the same time as it adopted a resolution calling for a display of the swastika on German Day, at which Ambassador Hans Luther was announced as the speaker.
