A Bavarian court today granted an injunction asked by the provincial Ministry of Justice enjoining Dr. Anton Besold, secretary of the Bavarian Party, from stating publicly that the Minister of Justice, Dr. Josef Mueller, was involved in the Auerbach affair and that he had received 40,000 deutschemarks from other people involved in the case.

Dr. Besold has also called for the resignation of Dr. Mueller on the basis of his alleged connection with Dr. Philip Auerbach, former head of the Bavarian Restitution Office, who is charged with fraud in office.

Meanwhile, the oft-postponed trial of Dr. Auerbach, scheduled to open today, was again delayed–this time until April 16. The latest postponement came at the request of defense counsel which challenged the competence of the court appointed by the American occupation authorities.
