German prosecutors opened an investigation into a lawmaker accused of making anti-Semitic remarks. The preliminary investigation into Martin Hohmann was launched after Hohmann said he had not meant to downplay the Holocaust when he compared the role of Jews in the Russian Revolution to the actions of Nazis during World War II.
