Israeli authorities today began investigation of the sabotaging of ah oil tanker in the port of Haifa by German sailors on the vessel. The Germans, who had been at sea six months when the vessel entered the port, were refused permission to land. in reprisal, some of them opened an ail pipe and permitted many tons of fuel to run into the water.
