A report from Bonn published in the press here today said that a dangerous new “master myth” was being built up again in millions of West German teenagers. This was being done by a flood of lurid blood and iron military thrillers telling them of the “heroic deeds” of the Nazis in the last war, the report stressed.
Details of some of the books were sent during the weekend to British MPs and trade union officials together with a warning that the books were cultivating a new “war psychology among West German youth,”
