* Germany’s president is to take six Holocaust survivors on a visit to Auschwitz on Jan. 27 to mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp. Senior officials at the WJC told JTA on Sunday that the historic visit by Horst Koehler will represent a “mea maxima culpa” on behalf of the German people.
