Glorify Jewish War Heroes in Roumania

The memory of the Jewish soldiers who fell during the world war was honored at special exercises on the Ashkenazic and Sephardic cemeteries in connection with the celebration of the unification of Greater Roumania.

Generals Faltineanu and Jonescu, representing the Ministry of War, attended the exercises. In their addresses they emphasized the valor of the Jewish soldiers who gave their lives for the unification of Roumania.

Albert C. Cornsweet of Cleveland, O., Rhodes scholar-elect and all-round Brown University athlete, has been awarded the class of 1907 scholarship, given annually at Brown University to the Senior class member "who combines in a high degree scholastic ability, athletic ability and character."

Cornsweet has the highest scholastic record of any Brown graduate, who has won the scholarship in the last four years. He is one of the four leaders of the class, a James Manning scholar, member of Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi. When he enters Oxford next Fall he will become a student at St. John’s College.

He played on the Brown football eleven for three years and was captain last year. He is a member of the Brown lacrosse twelve. For two years, Cornsweet was the New England inter-collegiate wrestling champion.
