Former Premier Golda Meir was hospitalized Friday at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem with a “frozen shoulder,” an illness common among elderly people, which causes pain and stiffness in the shoulders and makes moving the shoulder difficult, Doctors said Mrs. Meir needed a relatively mild treatment, and that she should be out of the hospital within a few days. It was the third time in recent weeks that the 76-year-old former Premier was hospitalized. The first two were for removal of cataracts.
