Goldberg Urges Nixon Administration to Seek Action on Conventions

Arthur J. Goldberg called today on the Incoming Nixon Administration to encourage ratification of the United Nations genocide and other human rights conventions pending in the Senate and to submit to the Senate for approval the Convention on Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Mr. Goldberg, former Ambassador to the United Nations as well as Supreme Court Justice and Secretary of Labor, made his appeal as president of the American Jewish Committee in a statement issued for Human Rights Day.
