A cable congratulating the Shah of Persia on his coronation was sent here today by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress. In the message, Dr. Goldmann extended to the Persian ruler the WJC’s “heartfelt wishes for the peace and prosperity of the Persian people which is demonstrated in abiding friendship for the Jewish people since the time of Cyrus the Great.”
