Dr. Nahum Goldmann sent a message of congratulations to President Nicolae Ceausescu of Rumania today on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of that country’s liberation from Nazi control. The message, sent on behalf of the World Jewish Congress, which Dr. Goldmann heads, expressed appreciation for the equality and freedom of religion accorded its Jewish citizens by Rumania. “In common with all lovers of peace and freedom throughout the world, we express the confident hope that under your wise leadership Rumania will continue to enjoy undisturbed independence, freedom and peace,” Dr. Goldmann said.
