Complete justice as a result of the investigation carried on by the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry can be expected by the Jews, declared Jonah J. Goldstein of New York, who came to Palestine as the representative of the American section of the Jewish Agency, at the request of Felix M. Warburg.
Mr. Goldstein, accompanied by his wife, left Palestine yesterday to return to New York where he expects to arrive on November 11, aboard the Majestic. In a statement to the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, prior to his departure, Mr. Goldstein declared:
“There is not a dent in the spirit of the Jewish people. I am satisfied the Jewish Agency case before the Inquiry Commission is in as good hands as possible.” referring to the leadership of Sir Boyd Merriman. “The case is well prepared. We can hope for the complete vindication of the Jewish people,” he continued. “The riots of 1921 resulted in the upbuilding of Tel Aviv. The riots of 1929 are bound to give a tremendous spurt to the rebuilding of Palestine,”
Mr. and Mrs. Goldstein toured the country, inspecting the devastated areas as well as all the colonies where the work and the progress has been uninterrupted.
