The Bible is a Jewish book and should not be used in the future in the solemnizing of Christian marriages, according to a resolution adopted by the Nazi church group, the national German Christians. The resolution calls for replacement of the Bible by the New Testament when the marriage oaths are taken by newly-wed couples. It is understood that Reichsbishop Mueller looks with disfavor on the proposed change.
