The final returns of the parliamentary elections made known today show that the government party gained 280 seats in parliament, the opposition 82. the liberals 13 and the anti-Semitic Cuza party 9.
The Roumanian elections began with more than the usual display of governmental terrorism, according to a Vienna despatch to the “Chicago Tribune.” According to a Bucharest report an opposition candidate in the Province of Hfov and a priest were killed by government adherents with the assistance of gendarmes. Another opposition candidate was arrested and imprisoned to prevent him from electioneering, the “Chicago Tribune” despatch stated.
