Foster, acting postmaster general of Palestine, recalled the time when Tel Aviv, now a city of some 40,000, was so small that its post-office was accommodated in one room.
Meyer Dizengoff, mayor of Tel Aviv, in his brief address, looked forward to the time when all communication between Tel Aviv and abroad will be by air mail. Rabbi Ben Zion Uziel, chief rabbi of Tel Aviv, expressed the hope that communications in the future would tell of peace and tranquility among all the inhabitants of the country.
