Inquiries from President Roosevelt and thousands of friends poured into the home of Governor Herbert H. Lehman at 820 Park Avenue Friday where he was confined to bed with an attack of appendicitis. A late bulletin issued by the Governor’s physicians announces that there is no need for an operation.
Joseph J. Canavan, secretary to the Governor, gave out a late statement in which he said that Mr. Lehman’s condition is “satisfactory” and that the patient “remains quiet.” The attending physicians are Dr. Arthur M. Master, Dr. B. S. Oppenheimer and Dr. A. A. Berg.
