Meeting on the common platform of the Greater New York Fund, Catholic, Protestant and Jew “will learn to understand one another,” Sol M. Stroock, member of the board of directors of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, declared tonight at the dinner opening the $10,000,000 drive, held at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria. Other speakers were Walter S. Gifford, Leon Fraser and James G. Blaine. The fund will contribute to the support of New York City’s private health and welfare agencies.

CORRECTION

Paul Baerwald is chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, not honorary chairman as stated in Monday’s JTA NEWS. James M. Speers is vice-president of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, not Basil Harris, who is vice-president of the United States Lines.
