A decree prohibiting the press from making references against any religion was issued here today by the government.

The decree aims to prevent anti-Jewish propaganda throughout the country, in connection with the forthcoming parliamentary elections in June.

It is announced in the press today that the Jews of Jannina will vote separately from the rest of the population during the elections.

The election campaign is now beginning to assume a lively character.

The government party is counting on winning all the Jewish votes since it has exhibited its pro-Jewish attitude on numerous occasions. It was with the help of the Jewish votes that the government party won a majority in the last elections, which infuriated the anti-Semitic elements in the country.
