A military court of appeals has commuted the death sentence imposed on an Arab terrorist by a military tribunal last week to life imprisonment. Saved from the gallows was Shehadeh Hassan el Eida who was condemned to death for throwing a grenade in East Jerusalem last Rosh Hashana eve which killed an Arab girl and injured 13 tourists on their way to the Wailing Wall.

The prisoner was sentenced to hang after he showed no remorse at his trial and admitted that his intention was to kill as many people as possible.
