Group of 100 Flies from New York to Dedication Concert in Israel

A group of 100 distinguished Americans left by plane today for Israel to attend the dedication concert in Tel Aviv of the Frederic R, Mann Auditorium of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Mann is chairman of the board of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Leonard Bernste in will conduct the concert on Wednesday with Arthur Rubinstein in and Isaac Stern as soloists.

Abe Stark, president of the New York City Council presented the delegation with the flag of the City of New York to be placed in the new auditorium. He also brought a letter of greeting from Mayor Wagner to Mayor Haim Levanon of Tel Aviv. The letter and flag were personally accepted for Israel by Simcha Pratt, new Consul General of Israel in New York.
