Another group of Jewish inhabitants of Moscow abandoned city life to settle on the land in Crimea. The group consists of 30 families numbering 127 persons.
Leaders of several synagogues in Moscow and other towns proposed to the Ozet, the society for settling Jews on the land, that the million rouble campaign of the society be aided by the sale of lottery tickets on the eve of Yom Kippur. The society declined to accept this proposal.
