The Habimah theatrical company of Palestine will visit New York in May for a limited engagement of six weeks on Broadway, it vas announced today. The group, consisting of 29 persons, is under the sponsorship of the American Fund for Palestinian Institutions.
The Habimah last visited the United States 22 years ago when it toured several cities. The company plans to present The Dybbuk, The Golem, Sophocles and other plays, all in Hebrew. Theatre, Inc., is cooperating with the American Fund in arranging for the company’s performances.
