The first performance of the Habimah players’ Hebrew rendition of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” in the translation of S. Chernichovsky, famous Hebrew poet, has scored a tremendous success here. The world-famous troupe of Hebrew players was met with salvos of applause and when the last curtain fell on their performance the performers were obliged to answer numerous curtain calls.
