The effort to raise funds for the Hakoah Sport Club in order to enable them to continue their activities and to acquire a swimming tank and other facilities toward their work for orphans and other destitute children in Vienna and Eastern Europe, whom the Hakoah provide with food, clothing and physical training, have so far resulted in receipts amounting to $1,485, according to an announcement made by the Hakoah Committee.

Mr. Z. H. Rubinstein, city editor of “The Day,” sailed last week on the Carmania for an extended trip. He will visit France, Germany and Poland, where he will make a study of Jewish conditions.
The publishers and editorial staff of “The Day,” at a luncheon given in honor of Mr. Rubinstein at Libby’s Hotel, gave expression to their appreciation of Mr. Rubinstein’s editorial services to his paper. Sixteen Jewish girls were among the 103 graduates of Adelphi College, Brooklyn, who received degrees at the commencement exercises of the College.
