Half Million Dollars in Bonds Sold at Dinner Honoring Edward S. Silver

Premier David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel, paid tribute tonight to Kings County District Attorney Edward S. Silver for his “valuable efforts and signal leadership in helping the economy of Israel” at a testimonial dinner in honor of Mr. Silver at which more than 800 persons purchased more than $500,000 in State of Israel Bonds, A special gold, hand-illuminated scroll was presented to Mr. Silver by Benjamin G. Browdy, Brooklyn chairman for Guardians of Israel. The citation on the scroll was signed by Mr. Ben Gurion.
