Hamas claimed the right to fire rockets at Israeli cities in order to counter Israeli air attacks on Palestinian areas. Mahmoud Zahar, a senior Hamas official in the Gaza Strip, told Reuters on Tuesday that the Kassam-2 rocket would achieve a balance with what he called Israeli terror.
