Hamas threatened the new Palestinian Authority prime minister after he came out against “armed resistance. “

Hamas Al-Aksa Television said over the weekend that Prime Minister Salam Fayyad was a “marked man,” a denunciation echoed by the Gaza terrorist group Popular Resistance Committees.

The threats followed a CNN interview in which Fayyad, a Western-educated reformist, criticized Palestinian guerrilla and terrorist attacks as counterproductive.

“This is complete chaos,” Fayyad said. “Anyone resisting, however which way they want, whenever they want, from wherever they want — is that resistance? That has destroyed our national project completely.”
