Head of U.N. Truce Commission Discusses Internationalization of Jerusalem with Israel

Plans for the internationalization of Jerusalem were discussed today at a conference between Israeli military governor for Jerusalem Dr. Bernard Joseph and Belgian Consul-General Jean Nieuwenhuys, chairman of the Consular Truce Commission, who Just returned here from Paris.

Two Jewish nurses–Chava Kirshenbaum and Malka Shalit–who were imprisoned in Trans Jordan following their capture in the Old City by Arab Legion troops were ex-changed today across “no-man’s land” for one Israeli-held Arab Legionnaire.
