Hebrew Union College to Hold Summer Session

Hebrew Union College Summer School, closed alst season on account of lack of funds, will inaugurate a six week’s session beginning July 9, the board of governors announced. N. Henry Beckman, treasurer, reported that economies effected by the budget committee would enable it to close 1933 without a dificit. Appropriations in 1932-1933 totaled $439,319. The Unon now includes congregatiosn with a membership of 54,089. Tour meetings were held at 135 congregations last year.

Members of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods raised $22,056 for Hbrew Union College scholarships, dormitory maintenance and religious education. About $15,000 was donated to the Department of Synagogue and School Extension for religious education including a director of yourh activities.
