The Hebrew University today received a bequest of $162,000 from the estate of the late Joffe Marks, of Johannesburg, who died in South Africa in 1951. Mr. Marks, born in Lithuania, emigrated to South Africa in 1894 and became a leading industrialist. Upon his death, at 92, he bequeathed large portions of his estate to various South African Jewish and Israeli institutions.
