Hebrew University Lays Cornerstone for $750,000 Pharmacy School

Four hundred delegates to the First World Congress of Jewish Pharmacists took part today in the cornerstone laying of a $750,000 Pharmacy School, at the Hebrew University. The congress is sponsored by the Hebrew University and the Israel Pharmaceutical Association. Participants include 150 leading members of the profession from the United States, Britain, France and Holland.

Among those attending are Sir Hugh Lindstead, president of the International Pharmaceutical Association; William Apple, executive director of the American Pharmaceutical Association; G. Vallette, dean of the Paris University pharmacy faculty; Professor Pourchet Campos, of Sao Paulo; and members of the Alpha Zeta Omega and Rho Pi Phi pharmacy fraternities.

The cornerstone ceremony was addressed by Moshe Shapiro, Health Minister Dr. Eliahu Elath, president of the Hebrew University; and Dr. Valette. The building will cover an area of about 3,000 square feet.
