Hezbollah reportedly passed Israel new information on missing airman Ron Arad. The Shi’ite militia expects the unspecified information on Arad, an Israeli air force navigator who bailed out over Lebanon in 1986, to wrap up a two-stage prisoner swap under way since last year, the Omani newspaper Al-Watan said last Friday. Jerusalem officials dismissed the report as an attempt by Hezbollah to wage psychological war on the Jewish state and bolster its own credibility at home after failing to retrieve Samir Qantar, a Lebanese terrorist held in an Israeli jail since 1979.
