A resolution urging Congress to pass liberalized immigration legislation in accordance with the wishes expressed by President Eisenhower was adopted here yesterday at the 25th Jubilee Convention of the Council of Organizations of the United HIAS Service.

Mayor Robert Wagner, who addressed the convention, criticized the McCarran-Walter Immigration law as a violation of America’s democratic concepts. He pledged to continue his efforts for its revision. The Mayor was presented with a scroll in recognition of his efforts on behalf of immigrants.
