The HICEM reports that in the period from January 1 to June 30, 1934, it sent to various countries 1,021 refugees from Germany, in collaboration with refugee aid committees in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Czecho-Slovakia, Holland, Austria and Poland.
Five hundred sixty-one were sent to Palestine, 316 to Brazil, fifty-four to North America and Canada, twenty-eight to Paraguay, Uraguay, Peru and Chile, twenty-two to Argentina, fifteen to Central America, eleven to South Africa, ten to China and four to Persia.
Five hundred sixty refugees were placed in various European countries for definite installation or professional readaptation. 144 expelled from adjacent countries were taken care of by the HICEM for later emigration, and 1,058 were repatriated.
The Anglo-HICEM sent on during the same period 412 refugees, making a total of 3,195 refugees aided on their way. Adding the 5,425 refugees who were helped to depart by the HICEM during 1933, the total number of German refugees thus aided is 8,620.
