The hiding of grain to prevent its submission to the government is assuming a mass character in Kalinindorf, the “Emess” reports today.

Jewish colonists have hidden their grain in Jewish collectives in order to keep it for their private use.

The Jewish collective of Zelionopolie has been dissolved for hiding as much as 2,500 pud grain, the paper says.

Jewish colonists stole 335 pud grain from the commune warehouse in the Jewish commune of Majak Ilitcha, the “Emess” states further.

Similar instances are reported in the collectives, Roitfon and Yidisher Poyer.

The “Emess” decplores also the growth of religious sentiment among the Jewish colonists, particularly in view of the fact that the Jewish youth have deserted the colonies for industrial work in the cities.
