The Histadrut today released the following Rosh Hashanah message to the Jews of America, through the Jewish Telegraphic Agency:
“On New Year’s eve we are sending to American Jewry and all our friends best wishes and greetings. True to its mission and tradition, the Histadrut is determined to redouble in the new year its efforts and activities; it will shoulder new responsibilities in implementing its pioneer task, realizing its main aims so as to make Israel as a state stronger, safer and more prosperous and where in a joint effort all living forces of the nation will create for Israel and the world new human and labor values.
“We appreciate the past efforts of American Jewry. We express the firm belief that the new year will witness a still greater attachment of American Jewry to the cause of up building Israel and reclaiming its wastes and absorbing all the masses of newcomers.”
