The American Jewish Trade Union Committee for Palestine today made public the text of a cable received from the Histadruth, the Jewish Federation of Labor in Palestine, assailing the “Hebrew Committee for National Liberation which was established last week by a group of young Jews in Washington.
“It is imperative that you clearly understand that this group has absolutely no majority to represent the political interests of Jewish people or the Palestine Fish,” the cable reads. “This political representation is vested in the Jewish Agency and the Vaad Leumi. Usurpation of this authority means undermining which is particularly dangerous at the present period. This group must not be allowed to continue to deceive public opinion and it is necessary that you open the eyes of those following it in good faith, but who are ignorant of facts.”
