If we are to believe the Jews and the Marxists, Deputy Dr. Joseph Goebbels, one of the Hitlerist leaders, writes in the “Voelkischer Beobachter”, Adolf Hitler is a brutal, ruthless, politician, who has no scruples about anything in his desire for power, and who is seeking to hurl Germany into violence, civil war and chaos. The enemies of this man have with deliberate intent to deceive presented him to the German people and to world opinion as something diametrically opposed to what he is in reality. They depict him as a man without culture, without education, or experience, as a fierce Jewbaiter, an irresponsible inciter to mob violence, whose only argument is the rubber cudgel, a tyrant in his own circles, and over his subordinates, a play-actor who rehearses his speeches before the mirror, a friend of the capitalist and an enemy of the worker.
That is how the readers of the Jewish and Marxist press picture Adolf Hitler. While everyone who really knows the man is outraged at all this lying and calumny. He is the exact opposite of what his enemies say. He is a man with artistic gifts. He is an architect and a painter, and it is a calamity for German art that politics claimed him in November 1918. He is a kindly man. He is fond of children, and he is the best friend and comrade a man can have. It is his anxiety for the welfare of the children of Germany, for whom he wishes to create a new life in their fatherland, that has led him to his crusade.
Of course, like every other statesman, Adolf Hitler, to carry through his political ideas, wants to capture power. But he does not desire civil war and chaos. His aim is to establish a strong firm authoritative Government in the country, which will for ever banish these dangers from Germany.
If Hitler fights the Jews, it is not because he is a vulgar mob antisemite, but because he has learnt to see the Jews as the image of Germany’s downfall.
As for the other allegations, Hitler is a man without pose. He is in no way a tyrant. And he has no vices. He does not touch alcohol, or tobacco, and he is a vegetarian. What he is out for is to restore to German children their bread and their fatherland and to end this period of despair in Germany. That is the man behind whom we stand and whom we are going to help to carry out his aim.
