During the celebration gatherings held to-day at Annaberg, in Upper Silesia, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the storming of Annaberg, by the Upper-Silesian Self-Defence, which drove out the Polish insurgents, thousands of Hitlerists who were present attempted an antisemitic demonstration. While the President of the Province, Herr Lukaschek, who is known to be friendly to the Jews, was reading out a telegram of greetings received from President Hindenburg, the Hitlerists started shouting: “Germany awake; Perish Judea!”. The police immediately expelled the Hitlerists from the procession.
