House of Commons Again Bypasses Bill to Outlaw Racial Incitement

Selwyn Lloyd, leader of the House of Commons, today rejected a request by Labor MP Fenner Brockway for a House discussion of his bill against racial discrimination and incitement. Mr. Brockway stressed that his bill had been introduced nine times in nine years, but the Government has never permitted discussion of the measure. However, he lost his persistent plea again.
