Hundreds of events throughout Europe marked the ninth annual European Day of Jewish Culture.
At least 20 countries participated Sunday in an event whose theme was music. Concerts, exhibitions, lectures, seminars and other events and activities, including guided tours of Jewish museums and heritage sites, were held.
Italy boasted one of the richest programs, with events in more than 55 towns and cities throughout the peninsula.
Culture Day is coordinated by the European Council of Jewish Communities, B’nai B’rith Europe and the Red de Juderias network in Spain. For program details, see www.jewisheritage.org.
