Hundreds of Jewish and Christian women met in Jerusalem to promote the status of women. Organized by the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus, the gathering this week was deemed a success despite drawing fire from the chief rabbinate, which warned that some Christian participants were using the event to missionize, Yediot Achronot reported. “The event was a tremendous success,” caucus director Josh Reinstein said. “We had about 600 women at the conference, and they had their eyes opened to plight of women around the world.” Reinstein said the chief rabbinate’s concerns were based on “misinformation.”
