Hundreds of people celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Great Synagogue in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. Tuesday’s celebration in Tbilisi was the centerpiece of a festival of Georgian-Jewish friendship, held under the auspices of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili.
