Councillor Samuel Stern protested today against persecution of the Hungarian Jewish minority of Rumania in his presidential address to the annual meeting of the Pest Jewish Community. “If Rumanian Jews are deprived of their rights, Hungarians will be deprived of them in the near future,” Mr. Stern said, reading a declaration of solidarity between the Hungarian and the Rumanian Jews.
