The formation of an American division of the World Federation of Jews of Hungarian Descent was announced here today. Dr. Frederick Gorog, former president of the Joint Distribution Committee in Budapest, was elected president. Dr. Gorog was legal counsel to the Association of Hungarian Banks, and from 1938, when the first anti-Semitic laws were passed in Hungary, was leader of the Jewish community there.
