Hungarian Police Deny Permit for Meeting of Jewish Social Workers in Budapest

A group of social workers of the Hungarian Zionist Federation and the Joint Distribution Committee have been denied an official permit to hold a meeting here. The decision was made by the local police chief.

The Budapest Jewish Community today adopted a resolution enfranchising women over 20 years of age in all community elections. Previously women had been denied the right to vote.
