Nazi anti-Semites were responsible for recent outbreaks in two Hungarian towns near the Austrian border. In Zalaegerszeg and Zalalevoe, Jewish shops and homes were pelted with bricks, and Jewish pedestrians assaulted on the streets and in cafes. The attacks were followed by anti-Semitic demonstration marches. Several of the hooligans were captured by the police and sentenced to short prison terms.
