The remains of Hannah Szenes, Hungarian Jewish heroine who was executed by the Hungarian fascists when captured on an Allied mission behind the Nazi lines during the war, arrived here from Budapest today.
The remains will be transported to Israel. An Israel Government delegation, including Miss Szenes’ brother Gierah Szenes, will accompany the coffin to the Jewish state. Miss Szenes parachuted into Yugoslavia in 1944 and joined a band of Hungarian partisans in operations designed to assist in the escape of Allied prisoners.
